Job description

International sales office for a tour operator is seeking a bookkeeper 

Duties include:
  • Preparing and processing single and bulk supplier payments
  • Tax and salary payments
  • Preparing end of month and year-end accounts for external audit 
  • Locating payments; printing and sending proof of payments
  • Checking and clearing incoming payments 
  • Dealing with suppliers
  • General bookkeeping and administrative tasks


Skills required:
  • Fluent in written and spoken English (German is a bonus but not a requirement) 
  • Good telephone manner and excellent communication skills 
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask  
  • The successful candidate must be able to work under pressure, have attention to detail, be accurate, committed, hardworking, eager to learn and an excellent team player
  • General understanding of bookkeeping and accounting procedures
System skills required:
  • Computer literate with experience in Word, Excel and an e-mail program (Outlook or Thunderbird) 
Previous work experience required:
  • Minimum of two years experience in bookkeeping, accounting or administration
