Job description

What the role entails:

The core function of the marketing coordinator is to support the marketing team in the planning and executing of strategic and tactical campaigns.

What you will do:
  • Assist the marketing team with the formulation and structure of the marketing plans (strategic and tactical) that have been developed in consultation with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Execute marketing activities and promotions aligned to trade and direct consumer channels
  • Assist the PR coordinator with the planning, admin and coordination of marketing and PR events/media trips in conjunction with our PR agencies and representatives (trade shows, exhibitions, workshops, media trips)
  • Collect and collate data required by the marketing team to prepare reports when required
  • Support the marketing team’s archive  function by efficiently filing and storing relevant marketing materials
  • Ensure all printed promotional material is distributed as required to key parties
  • Assist with the planning and coordination of photo and video shoots where necessary
  • Management of photographs across Travel Partner site and other platforms
  • Manage DropBox account and categorisation of all new images
  • Assist with formulation of Info Docs for sales and reservations teams
  • Submit regular posts to feature on newsfeed of various affiliations that Singita subscribe to
  • Monthly budget recons and processing of CE’s and invoices with GM of marketing

Requirements

  • Must be a recent marketing graduate
  • Self-starter and creative problem-solver
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • A good understanding of social media and CMS
  • Computer literate
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator not essential but would be advantageous
