Job description

Key responsibilities:
  • Providing third-line desktop support on all workstations within area of service
  • Coordinate, install, set up, and complete departmental moves with regards to IT equipment
  • Responsible for upgrading and maintaining end-user software versions and equipment
  • Effective and efficient handling of assigned incidents ensuring end user satisfaction and excellent service 
  • Case management and project work
  • Identify financial and business risks to the company and escalate accordingly within allowed timescales
  • Dealing with third party vendors as and when required
  • Managing and support SCCM
  • Manage available stock of IT equipment and services and maintaining IT inventory and asset registry
  • IT assistance across all departments and regions
  • Adhere to company and departmental policies and procedures
  • Project and non-project related tasks as and when assigned
  • After hours or overtime, provide standby for after hour support on a rotational basis


  • A minimum of three to five years’ experience as a desktop support technician
  • MCDST Microsoft certified desktop technician (preferable)
  • Exposure to ITIL (preferable)
  • Exposure to Microsoft and Apple systems and technologies
  • Knowledge of configuration management using tools such as SCCM
  • Familiarity with IOS and MDM solutions
  • Video conferencing and A/V systems
  • Professional and efficient communication to relevant stakeholders
  • Support effective teamwork
  • Familiarity with anti-virus solutions
  • Drivers licence
