Job description

Key performance areas (KPAs)

Analysis and reporting
  • Produce a monthly marketing report which accurately reflects the current state of FinChoice marketing activity and marketing channels and explain movements/trends 
  • Produce accurate daily and weekly reports and explain movements / trends
  • Produce deeper investigations when required 
  • Understand analytics requests and produce reimeous reporting that is clear, concise and accurate in depicting the answers and solutions to business challenges
  • Analyse data and business processes strategically in order to inform the best way to book new accounts as well as to make further disbursements to existing customers
  • Learn how to effectively deploy data in Excel using pivot reporting
  • Understand how data is stored and gain knowledge in SQL in order to extract it
  • Leverage the data to find new ways of looking at customer behavior and solutions to business problems
  • Present and explain technical results and concepts to a wide range of audiences including those that are not technical
Trend analysis
  • Accurately interpret all data, identify and communicate trends from the database and marketing activities and assist in translating these into business strategies
  • Continuously monitor and analyse customer retention, acquisition and reactivation movements and trends
  • Ensure response and variances are identified, investigated and explained
Direct mail campaigns (CRM and test mailings)
  • Assist with the management and implementation of monthly direct mail campaigns (CRM and test mailings)
  • Ensure list/name selections are completed in a timeous manner and that the corresponding mail files are sent to the mail house in advance
  • Develop and roll out test strategies in line with the marketing plan and ensure test campaigns are rigorously structured so that significance of results is not jeopardised
  • Analyse campaign performance and communicate recommendations and initiate corrective action accordingly and in a timely manner 
Dialer files and SMS files
  • Liaise on a continuous basis with the call centre operations manager to load balance outbound calling of direct mailing campaigns to reach targets and optimize results
  • Ensure dialer files and SMS files are accurate, signed off and ready to be set up by the operations team


Qualifications and accreditations
  • Relevant degree (BSc, BCom, B Bus Sci, B Eng.)
Experience and skills
  • A minimum of one to two years' experience within a similar role

  • Proactive problem solver with the ability to creatively question processes
  • Assertive and good communicator (both verbal and written)
