We are looking for well rounded, digitally savvy graphic designer with three to five years' experience in multiple areas of design, from concept to finished art and illustration in both print and digital.
You will work in publishing, branding, communication, social, digital and experiential/marketing design, across many channels and platforms.
You will be required to come up with sound ideas that meet the brief, communicate these effectively, present to your HOD where necessary and innovate wherever possible. You must have a desire to learn and apply new things often.
Manages the DTP of all artwork – overseen by head of design with traffic support from resource manager
Material preparation for printing
Playing supportive role to creatives and accounts in terms of DTP area
Gives support to creatives and accounts during project realisation so the final product reflects creative concept and client requirements
Supports creatives and accounts in client technical problem solving with printing houses, publishing houses, subcontractors
Cares about collection of all materials and inputs from creatives, accounts, production when need to prepare a material for print
Plans properly for material preparation process
Responsible for the final material timely delivery for print
Realises the impact of work delay on the costing and client satisfaction
Has a good sense of artistic taste and proportion and uses this when preparing the material for printing
Ability to enter the spirit of the specific creative character of a project and reflecting this when preparing a material for a printing
Experience in designing for digital platforms and the rollout of digital campaigns
Knowledge of printing techniques and the preparation process for printing
Knowledge and fluentness in using of Adobe In-design, Illustrator, Photoshop, Quark software
Mac OX literate
Ability to use net transfer tools e.g. FTP
Knowledge of typography (fonts types)
Organised in handling daily tasks, accurate, self-managing
Experience in work at the printing/publishing house or other advertising agencies will be an asset
Minimum three-year diploma / Degree in Fine Arts / Visual communication
Minimum three years in a designer/DTP/FA role – ideally with a reputable marketing agency
