Job description

Ogilvy PR is looking for an experienced community manager for one of their biggest accounts. The community manager is responsible for advocating the brand on social networks. They actively go out within the online community to connect with potential customers, boost awareness and advocate the brand.

Here are some of the responsibilities: 
  • Help develop content plans for clients.
  • Keep on top of developments in the realm of social media to ensure campaigns and communities are innovative.
  • Write the required content for the online properties, based on tonality guidelines and social media policy. 
  • Post content on online properties, potentially including websites, mobisites, Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, MXIT, etc.
  • Respond to queries and comments during working hours (08.30 am to 5pm Monday to Friday) and when required and agreed with clients often in the evenings and weekends ensuring that you follow tonality guidelines and social media policy.
  • Report on performance and numbers monthly, in tandem with the strategist. 
  • Help develop content plans for clients.

Requirements

  • Three years' experience as a community manager
  • Own transport essential
  • Must be an employment equity candidate
  • Agency experience would be a big advantage
