Become part ofChild-FriendlySA. The free app for busy parents.
The kids are at school and you have a few hours. You drive over to meet the friendly owners of a playpark or party venue for kids. They show you around and invite your kids to come test it out this weekend. Over a cappuccino in their coffee shop, you show them how a very cool App for parents can promote their business. You email them the link to sign up and start counting in your head how you will be spending the R20, 000 – R30,000 per month you will be earning in this fun way. Now, off to fetch the kids and is available for their needs this afternoon. No paperwork and admin, no worries.
Busy parents use Google searches and child activity directory websites to find information on child-friendly activities, events, party-planners and many other child-related services and products that make their family lives easier and more interesting. The Child-Friendly SA App is the first time that all of this information is now in the palm of a busy parent’s hand, on the mobile phone. And the App is free to download. The app also adds significant convenience over web searches. For example, one can call or email directly from the app, share (SMS, Skype, WhatsApp, etc.) with friends with whom you would like to meet up at the venue, and offers route mapping and an Uber integration. Download the free App via web links at www.childfriendlysa.co.za to see it for yourself.
Child-Friendly SA offers the opportunity for a select number of Stay@Home Moms nationally to build their own, easy-to-run, part-time business, introducing the free app to other parents and visiting child-friendly establishments to validate that they are focused on kids, and to sign them up as listed outlets featured on the app. From there, Child-Friendly SA handles all the administration via its automated systems and you, as Stay@Home Mom build an increasing monthly income stream for the whole twelve months and beyond when these businesses remain listed after year one. No paperwork, no chasing overdue payments – your focus is on promoting the free App among other parents, identifying and visiting great places for families with kids, and getting the App to sell itself when demonstrating it to business owners. We encourage our Stay@Home Moms to take the kids along over weekends and letting them be the true judges of whether venues are fun and really child-friendly!
Child Friendly SA is a free App for busy parents. It lists over 10,000 child friendly products and services nationally with parents in their direct area through geo-coding and other higher-end functionality. It is the App that every parent has been waiting for.
At Child-Friendly SA, we recognise that there are many, extremely capable women who have opted out of successful careers in order to give their children the love and attention they require. After the first couple of intense years, once the kids are in school during the mornings, it remains a challenging decision whether to return to work full-time. We aim to offer such Stay@Home Moms, who feel the ambition to get back into work, yet feel torn because they want to be with their kids in the afternoons, the perfect solution to create a business, yet with the freedom and time to stay engaged with their kids and their activities. In fact, being around the sport field or in the car park at school with other parents will actually enhance your business growth, as will become evident.
Parents live in a parallel universe to people without kids. Only a mother or father would truly understand whether a restaurant or play park is really child-friendly. And only a parent can relate to the time pressure of juggling kids, school runs, notes from the teacher, shopping, playdates, dentist appointments, and all it takes to keep the family organised. Nothing qualifies you better for joining Child-Friendly SA than the hundreds of daily duties you are performing within your own family.
What do you need?

A tertiary qualification – preferably in the sales and marketing areas
Prior use of and experience with Apps on your smartphone (as a user, not a developer!!)
A good reputation among other parents in your community for being an actively engaged and caring parent
A bunch of parenting friends on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or WhatsApp.
