The specifics of the role can be broken down as follows:
Culture • Leading and managing our internal culture. • Developing activities to bring our values and culture to life everyday • Develop an employee wellness programme. • Develop a recognition and reward system for team members. • Creating tracking and feedback loops including measurement and tracking. • Ensure fun takes place, team bonding and activities that grow relationships and release pressure.
A high-performance team • Ensuring our team is equipped with the right resources, knowledge, capabilities and tools to be High Performers. • Ensuring a developed and ongoing growth mentally, physically and emotionally to allow for high performance. • Identify department needs with heads and working to find solutions, Managing the internal University – a collection of all training materials. • Ensuring the team have everything they need to do their jobs (general, department specific, office) • Reviewing with department heads every quarter.
Team reviews • Managing the companies review process twice a year • Improving and refining the process in how we review, grow and improve team performance. • Managing all recordings and tracking of reviews and that all paperwork is in order. • Ensuring reviews are future focused and each team member has what is required to boost their performance, post each review.
Team growth and recruitment • Ensuring active an ongoing talent identification – both internally and externally for future positions. • Working with department heads and the leadership team to ensure we are resourced correctly. • Finalise our recruitment process, covering; identification, interview process, selection criteria, approval process, qualifying tests/ measures, offer process and documentation, welcome, induction, onboarding, integration, feedback and reviews. • Managing and ensuring the fair running of any disciplinary processes, performance management, firing and exit interviews.
Role modelling and team leadership Role modelling the HYH values of high performance and being a strong and respected leader within the team. Setting the example and providing positive energy and momentum that positively influences and drives the team.
HR and labour law A very deep understanding and practice of all Human Resource Practices: • Basic Conditions of Employment Act & knowledge and a clear understanding of South African Labour Law and best practises
• Development & maintenance of Company HR Policies: • Offering advise on best practice policies for the Agency • Leading the Health & Safety Committee
Director of learning Develop and manage programmes that enable an internal culture of continuous learning: • Training & Development: • Internal & external training to ensure • New staff induction programs
Data information systems Responsible for managing the Agencies data information systems • Staff information systems • Staff personal files • IT & Technology in conjunction with the CPT Office Manager
Office Administration Team leadership Leading the CPT office administration team: • Office Manager • Office Cleaner
