We've been growing and now are hiring a program coordinator for our important Cape Town location. As program coordinator, you will be helping connect interns and volunteers with opportunities in a wide range of fields including business, education, health care, human rights, journalism, social work, and sustainable development. All of our programs are designed to create lasting value for Connect-123 program participants and the local organisations with whom they are placed.
As a Cape Town programme coordinator, you will:
Guide individuals through the application process
Match applicants to the best-fit internship or volunteer opportunity
Assist interns and volunteers with preparations for their trip to Cape Town
Facilitate a rich learning experience for program participants once in-country
Engage in coaching/mentoring sessions to help interns and volunteers learn from their experience and build their careers
Identify new volunteer and internship opportunities
Build and maintain relationships with the relevant host organisations and help them to define intern/volunteer projects
Continuously deepen your knowledge of local projects by attending industry events, reading relevant publications and building a network of contacts
Establish and maintain relationships with universities; develop customised programs for universities
Participate in fun and educational social experiences for interns and volunteers
Provide support to other program locations, including Barcelona, Buenos Aires, Dublin, and Shanghai as needed
