Our client, a publisher media company, is searching for an experienced high calibre personal assistant to make the life and office of the MD run smoothly.

To be successful in this role the individual will need to be:
  • Polished in all aspects of administration
  • Confident in Microsoft Office and Apple iOS,
  • Interested and have a particular flare for event management
  • A social media and advertising geek
  • Able to juggle a number of deliverables at any given point
  • Smart with numbers and have meticulous attention to detail 
  • Organised and have a high work ethic
Other than the general personal assistant/secretarial duties, the key responsibilities of the candidate will include:
  • Organising and maintaining office systems 
  • Organising the MD's diary and appointments
  • Dealing with correspondences and emails
  • Screening telephone calls and handling enquires
  • Preparing and typing documents
  • Planning and organising meetings
  • Possibly attending meetings on behalf of the MD
  • Assisting with planning and organising of media events
  • Preparing board packs and board reports
  • Organising and compiling gifts when required
  • Getting refreshments when required
  • Receiving and chaperoning guests
  • Liaising with clients
  • Making travel and accommodation arrangements for the MD


Required skills and competencies include:
  • An appropriate tertiary qualification
  • At least three years' relevant experience
  • Great administration skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Good written and spoken communication skills
  • Good listening skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Analytical and natural problem solver
  • Likeable and calm personality
  • Friendly and professional
  • Proactive, hardworking, and reliable
